Meet Me

“In bidding for this job, my foremost priority is to serve and support the Leaders of the Pacific to achieve their vision for one “Blue Continent”, and to strategically shape and respond to socio-economic, political and environmental issues of the Pacific region.  This could only be achieved through regional cooperation and integration of the Pacific Forum – PACIFIC REGIONALISM for the Blue Pacific Continent through a vision for a greener and bluer Pacific with acceleration of implementation with strong Coordination, Cooperation, Commitment and Care (the 4Cs). Please refer to details of the 4Cs in my vision. https://miasiamomua.wordpress.com/my-vision/

I am a proud Tongan and a daughter of the Pacific.  I believe that “actions speak louder than words” and ready to take on the challenges of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forum Secretariat and be responsible to the Forum Chair, the Forum Leaders, and the Forum Officials Committee to further members’ shared goals of economic growth, sustainable development, good governance and security.

At this critical junction, of less than a decade to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, and the development of a roadmap of a 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, the Forum Secretariat needs a CEO that would bring professional excellence and leadership, responsive to the aspirations and needs of its member countries within a “Pasefika caring and innovative environment”.  In my humble opinion, I am the best person for the role.”

“If selected, I would serve the Forum Leaders and people of the Pacific – together as the Pacific Forum, to respond to COVID19 and other global crises, threats and challenges which cannot be addressed by individual member countries alone, which requires 4CsCoordination, Cooperation based on Pacific Forum Commiments and values. I believe that with those three Cs I need my fourth C of Care which in today’s interconnected world and the challenges we face, empathy and care unlocks that global cooperation which is more needed and necessary than ever”.
